Another Nickname Story
"The barber who stood on phone books"
I grew up in a small town. When I was a young boy, I would ride my Schwinn Typhoon bicycle to the barber shop. I was of normal height as a kid, and never really thought about it much at the time. But as the years passed and I grew taller, I couldn't help but notice how short, "shorty the barber" was. He was less than 5 feet tall and had to stand on phone books to cut everyone's hair. I always wanted to take a picture of "shorty the barber" in front ofhis barber pole with his tallest customer. Could never seem to get the two of them together.
